Our Story

In 1987, Walter Ward and Tony Caggiano first met as opposing attorneys in a medical malpractice case. Up to that point, Mr. Caggiano had been working for insurance companies and corporations. By the time that case ended, they had developed a great deal of respect for each other; and, Dr. Ward convinced Mr. Caggiano that "he had too big a heart to continue to represent giant corporations and insurance companies."

On a "handshake" they began handling only a limited number of cases together – representing those genuinely hurt by the carelessness of others – and focusing on their clients’ best interests. While many other law firms have come and gone – or - allowed difficult economic times to influence decisions to assign inexperienced lawyers to "run through more cases," at Ward and Caggiano, clients continue to receive the personal attention of Dr. Ward and Mr. Caggiano.

Approaching our 25th year of the passionate pursuit of justice, we can share that our clients’ successes have been our successes. We have built long-standing relationships with clients and lawyers who have referred family and friends to us because of our expertise. Mr. Caggiano feels blessed to have the support and understanding of his wife and four children; and, Dr. Ward and his wife have been fortunate to have raised their family and have been blessed with grandchildren. As one of the few Florida law firms with both a Medical Doctor-Lawyer and a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, we invite you to call us now to discuss your case. If you prefer, just fill out the Get Help Now form and we will also send you an immediate email that includes excerpts from the book, Seeking Justice, on why most other lawyers may be unprepared for a case like yours.
